Welcome!

The Narberth Havurah provides open-hearted Jewish engagement for individuals on their spiritual path and families looking for a meaningful Jewish connection.

We are a community of seekers, learners, joyous celebrants, and participants in contemporary Judaism. We offer Community Shabbat celebrations and services, holiday services and programs, Hebrew school for children, and opportunities for adults to learn – and play – together. We are an open and welcoming community composed of individuals and families of diverse Jewish and non-Jewish backgrounds. We are small in numbers but mighty in purpose.

To preserve the intimate nature of the Havurah, we deeply engage those folks who come through our doors. We hope to be responsive to our members’ wants and needs and to deepen their connection to Judaism and Jewish life in ways that speak to who they are and wish to become.

The reason I stay in the Havurah is the people. This progressive community is welcoming, accepting of diversity, and embraces non-Jewish members and interfaith families.

For my family the Hebrew School is an important element of the Narberth Havurah. The programming is more cultural than religious and has helped my children develop a Jewish identity. My kids enjoy the school and its programming, have made friends, and have learned shared ethics and values.
