Shavuot, the celebration of receiving Torah, begins the night of May 16. In this pre-Shavuot program, Olivia Devorah Tucker shares their amazing and inspiring scrapbook of challahs, created from images and ideas in the weekly Torah Portion and holidays. We will also learn techniques for braiding and brainstorming creative designs at home!
Have your dough ready for braiding, we will do that together.
You DO NOT have to braid, there is still plenty to learn and be inspired by.
Need a challah recipe? Click here for one with plenty of notes and details from Olivia Devorah. You can make it, up to the braiding part, the night before and put it in the refrigerator, covered, overnight. Take your dough out at 9:30am Sunday. OR make it on Sunday morning–it will take about 3 hours (prep and risings) to get to the braided stage.
Hope to see you there!
