We’ll meet at Narberth Park, next to the Narberth library, for a masked and socially distant discussion about a new Shabbat morning gathering with Havurah members and friends. This spring and summer, we’ll gather once or twice a month on Shabbat mornings, depending on level of interest, in May, June, July and August, likely in someone’s back yard or at a park. At the end of the summer, we’ll assess adding Shabbat mornings as a regular part of our calendar year.
Your input can help shape these Spirit of Shabbat gatherings now and into the future – would you want something mostly based on liturgy, with everyone learning shared melodies for the traditional prayers, and including a Torah reading/dicussion? A time for meditation? A beginners service where we learn the prayers and their meanings, and establish shared melodies? A musical chant service? Just a few songs/prayers with more of a focus on Torah study? Going to the racial justice vigils, and then to the park for a walk, ending in a brief meditation or reflection on the Torah portion? Possibilies abound! What would most engage YOU?!
If you can’t be with us, but you’d like to share your input as to what would be of most interest to you, contact Rabbi Simcha at firstname.lastname@example.org. Looking forward to hearing from you as we shape these opportunities to celebrate Shabbat, build community, and nourish our souls!
