Havdalah is a traditional ceremony that marks the symbolic end of Shabbat and ushers in the new week. This beautiful ritual involves lighting a special havdalah candle with several wicks, blessing a cup of wine and smelling sweet spices.[1] It takes place at the end of Shabbat, on Saturday night after the appearance of three stars in the sky. At the Havurah we have not celebrated this much in the past – let’s try it and see whether it catches on.

The plan: Havdalah at 7pm, then a music circle where people can share and sing songs , share stories and poetry and in the process get to know each other better. We will also have make-your-own-sundaes for adults and kids! Feel free to bring some additional dessert for everyone’s enjoyment.

NOTE THE CHANGE IN LOCATION!!

This havdalah will take place at Rose & Assaf’s place – 404 Haverford Ave, Narberth PA 19072. (Or contact Rose at: 215-514-5533). Please bring a dessert or a beverage, and if possible bring an instrument too.
