Grab your Fall jackets and join us for a Community Shabbat Celebration!

We’ll gather as one big Havurah family for Shabbat songs and rituals, a bring-your-own-picnic dinner, and a fun activity for all ages after dinner.  Bring your own food and drink, and a picnic blanket ( there will be some tables and chairs as well). Challah will be provided for all. Details for our location at a member’s home in Narberth will be sent via Havurah emails.

For the safety of all, we ask all to be masked when not eating, as well as socially distant within your own pods/families, while eating!

We’ll also begin with our first session in the new year of  “Wine and Wisdom” for those who would like to stay after dinner, gather around a fire, bring some wine or a warm drink, and join in on some learning and discussion. Topics for Wine and Wisdom change from month to month, and it’s held following our first Friday of the month Shabbat potlucks when we can meet in person, or their replacement of Welcoming of Shabbat on-line when we can’t meet in person. This particular session will focus on the convergence of the new year, the beginning of the Torah cycle with Breishit, and 5782 being the seventh year in the Shmita cycle, a year that includes the environmental consciousness of a “Shabbat for the land”. Bring your phones for light,  or flashlights!

No need to RSVP – just show up! Hope you can join us!
