Outdoors at homes of Havurah members / Zoom in case of rain
JOIN US IN THE SPIRIT OF SHABBAT!
Shabbat morning services have finally arrived as a regular part of our Havurah gatherings! Our “Spirit of Shabbat” service is held twice per month, with both Rabbi Simcha and Havurah members leading the way. Whether you are new to Jewish prayer and want to develop an understanding and familiarity with the service, or whether you are someone who is familiar enough with Shabbat morning services to step up and help lead the way, our time together will engage your spirit and nourish your soul!
Through traditional and contemporary melodies, song, chant, meditation, poetry and learning, we’ll experience the Spirit of Shabbat and grow our connections to each other.
These services will follow the Racial Justice Vigils from 9 – 10 am (see calendar listing), where we can start the morning by “praying with our feet”. We’ll then meet for our service which will take place outdoors (in the yard of Havurah members), or on Zoom in the event of rain. Watch your Havurah emails for further information, locations, and links when needed.
SAFETY GUIDELINES: The Havurah is following CDC guidelines in a conservative way, looking out for the safety of all. Currently, while masking is always encouraged if those present are more comfortable with that, those who are two weeks beyond being fully vaccinated may attend outdoor gatherings unmasked. Those who have not been vaccinated must be masked, and keep social distance. We are currently not having indoor gatherings, other than groups of ten or less people, all of whom are fully vaccinated. We are also not allowing for shared food, such as potlucks or kiddush after services, at this time.
We encourage social distancing for all people at all events.
